Overview:
SmartScan BASIC software assists in the probe positioning, as well as examining and recording the locations and injection conditions where DUT failures occur. The software also collects and compiles these testing data into a report.
The manual ESD (electro-static discharge) scanner is used to inject short disturbance pulses into a DUT (device under test) through a probe. The user has the freedom to position the probe at the desired injection location, angle, and distance.




Testing:
SmartScan Basic allows the user to capture a location of the probe during discharge using a foot pedal and camera. The software allows the user to make a mark and put notes reflecting ESD failure symptoms and the TLP charge voltage that caused the failure.




Reporting:
All collected information can be automatically exported in both MS World and MS Excel formats. The screenshot below shows a sample word report.
